With over 3,000 wildlife species in their natural spacious habitats, an exciting ecological adventure awaits you at the Singapore Zoo, a family attraction. Roam around the shaded boardwalks and observe these exotic animals amidst lush surroundings, be thrilled by entertaining educational shows etc. Animals are kept in spacious, landscaped enclosures separated from the visitors by either dry or wet moats. The moats are concealed. Wild animals that can climb well are housed in landscaped glass- fronted enclosures. 40 hectares of secondary forest were later developed into the Night Safari. The remaining undeveloped land is currently preserved as wooded land. The waters of Upper Seletar Reservoir give the zoo a sense of natural, open surrounding. The zoo also offers various modes of rides available within the premises: trams, animals, boat, pony and horse carriage rides. Singapore Zoo (Mandai) is considered as one of the world's top most zoo. Explore the Singapore Zoo, spread over 28 hectares and is a sanctuary to over 3,600 mammals, birds and reptiles including some rare and endangered species. Catch the natural barriers used such as streams, rock walls and vegetation that separate the animals from visitors. Also experience a new concept in animal keeping highlighted by beautiful landscaping and few enclosures in a safari-like adventure from the comfort of a tram.

Q: What is the most appropriate type of luggage to bring?
We strongly recommend bringing a backpack or duffel bag, as suitcases can be cumbersome and difficult to store in buses, under seats, etc.. Keep in mind that you will normally have to carry your own luggage on and off buses and trains and up and down hotel staircases. Suitcases with wheels may not work well on dirt or cobblestone roads.
Q: What Travel Documents Do I Need?
One must have his/her passport, IDs and visa stamped (if required for that particular country). Any specific documents required will be informed you earlier.
Q: Can you help arrange my travel visas?
Requirements for travel visas vary widely depending on your nationality and your destination. Although we are unable to arrange visas on your behalf but there are several visa immigration service providers who can help you in this process.
Q: I'm a single traveller, will I be charged a single supplement?
TMost of our trips do not have a single supplement. This means that the accommodation is on a twin share basis and, if you are travelling on your own, you will be sharing a room with another fliptrip traveller of the same sex. Some tours have an optional single supplement or rarely a mandatory single supplement. An optional service that may be available is called "My Own Room". This service allows solo travellers to request their own private room while on tour. The cost and the details vary by trip, so please refer to each trip summary page for details.
Q: Can I join a tour late or leave it early?
It's extremely difficult if not impossible to join a tour after it has begun. It is possible to leave a tour early however you will be responsible for your own arrangements from the moment you decide to leave the tour. You would also be responsible for all costs associated with joining a tour late or leaving one early. If you feel this may be necessary please consult a fliptrip Specialist before you book your adventure.
Q: What type of ground transportation is used on your tours?
Trip specific information on transportation can be found on the trip summary page however in most cases we use public transportation. We've found that how you get there significantly influences the tone of your journey and public transportation allows face-to-face interaction with the local people. Some of our adventures, including our “Superior”, "Comfort Class" and most adventures in Africa, use private transportation.
Q: Can I book extra nights of hotel accommodation before or after my tour?
Yes, in most cases we can arrange additional accommodation at our starting or ending hotels, excluding European tours. Please contact a fliptrip Specialist for price information or check under “Hotels, Transfers & City Breaks” on the tour page of our website for prices. If we are unable to provide you with the extra nights we will give you the name of a hotel you can contact directly. Please also note that extra accommodations must be booked outside of 30 days of departure.
