After arrival in Manchester, get geared up for a half-day Guided orientation tour with photo-stops at some of the best known attractions of the city. You would drive past the Manchester Town Hall, where you can view the hall from outside and click some memorable pictures here. You would also stop to view the renowned Manchester United Football Stadium which is famous for hosting some nail-biting matches. Later Enjoy a relaxing trip on a Manchester river cruise on the River Irwell and the historic Ship Canal between Manchester city centre and the former Manchester Docks, now known as Salford Quays.
Check out and board your coach to drive to Glasgow. Our first stop will be Kendal-Kendal, anciently known as Kirkby in Kendal or Kirkby Kendal, is a market town and civil parish within the South Lakeland District of Cumbria, England. We drive through England's first ever National Park known as the Lake District, a mountainous region dotted with lakes, truly an inspiration for many writers including William Wordsworth. We proceed to Scotland.
After Breakfast, Transfer to Loch Lomond, Enjoy circular cruise for 1 hour, a truly elegant and relaxing way to discover beautiful Loch Lomond from an intimate perspective. Later proceed towards Edinburgh, arrive and proceed to the Guided Orientation City tour in the Royal Mile, The Royal Mile is the name given to a succession of streets forming the main thoroughfare of the Old Town of the city of Edinburgh in Scotland. After Breakfast, Guided City Orientation tour of Glasgow. Proceed for a Guided Orientation city tour to view People's Palace, George Square, Riverside Museum, Glasgow Tower, Glasgow Science center, The Light house, Galsgow green, Theatre Royal and Cathedral. Free time at Glasgow Green.
After Breakfast, Transfer to York – a walled city in northeast England. Upon arrival, proceed for a guided city tour to view York Minster, York Castle, Rowntree Park and Bridges of York.
Breakfast, Transfer to London. Balance day is free at leisure to explore the city on your own.
After breafast take a transfer to the Airport (on your own).
Q: What is the most appropriate type of luggage to bring?
We strongly recommend bringing a backpack or duffel bag, as suitcases can be cumbersome and difficult to store in buses, under seats, etc.. Keep in mind that you will normally have to carry your own luggage on and off buses and trains and up and down hotel staircases. Suitcases with wheels may not work well on dirt or cobblestone roads.
Q: What Travel Documents Do I Need?
One must have his/her passport, IDs and visa stamped (if required for that particular country). Any specific documents required will be informed you earlier.
Q: Can you help arrange my travel visas?
Requirements for travel visas vary widely depending on your nationality and your destination. Although we are unable to arrange visas on your behalf but there are several visa immigration service providers who can help you in this process.
Q: I'm a single traveller, will I be charged a single supplement?
TMost of our trips do not have a single supplement. This means that the accommodation is on a twin share basis and, if you are travelling on your own, you will be sharing a room with another fliptrip traveller of the same sex. Some tours have an optional single supplement or rarely a mandatory single supplement. An optional service that may be available is called "My Own Room". This service allows solo travellers to request their own private room while on tour. The cost and the details vary by trip, so please refer to each trip summary page for details.
Q: Can I join a tour late or leave it early?
It's extremely difficult if not impossible to join a tour after it has begun. It is possible to leave a tour early however you will be responsible for your own arrangements from the moment you decide to leave the tour. You would also be responsible for all costs associated with joining a tour late or leaving one early. If you feel this may be necessary please consult a fliptrip Specialist before you book your adventure.
Q: What type of ground transportation is used on your tours?
Trip specific information on transportation can be found on the trip summary page however in most cases we use public transportation. We've found that how you get there significantly influences the tone of your journey and public transportation allows face-to-face interaction with the local people. Some of our adventures, including our “Superior”, "Comfort Class" and most adventures in Africa, use private transportation.
Q: Can I book extra nights of hotel accommodation before or after my tour?
Yes, in most cases we can arrange additional accommodation at our starting or ending hotels, excluding European tours. Please contact a fliptrip Specialist for price information or check under “Hotels, Transfers & City Breaks” on the tour page of our website for prices. If we are unable to provide you with the extra nights we will give you the name of a hotel you can contact directly. Please also note that extra accommodations must be booked outside of 30 days of departure.
